General Meta Plans For Aftermath

Here's our current meta thoughts for Aftermath and what we're working towards generally speaking:

  • Trade Chat in safezone / Trade Server  [DONE]
  • Deployed sleeping bag / shack - investigate balance for these [DONE]
  • Deployed Gardens - investigate / balance / update crafting recipes to use these materials  [DONE]
  • Extreme map overhaul to bushes, trees, grass, rocks, desert, rivers, lakes, forests etc [IN PROGRESS]
  • Centralized single hub safezone + PVE quests + new banking system + new deploy system [IN PROGRESS]
  • Beginner tutorial experience in special safe questing area near centralized safezone hub [IN PROGRESS]
  • 10x new Backpack skins (you'll notice a new tab in the customization menu) [IN PROGRESS]
  • 10x new barricade skins (you'll notice a new tab in the customization menu) [IN PROGRESS]
  • Daily Quests / Weekly Quests [IN PROGRESS]
  • Experience gain / skill tree [IN PROGRESS]
  • Fishing / harvesting / mining / gathering + masteries [IN PROGRESS]
  • Community Building Servers - testing
  • Vendor Trash 'rare' items - ~10 rare items that sell for a lot of GD to the vendor
  • Rename game entirely
  • Drug Cartel gameplay - Growing, processing & selling illegal goods
  • Factions to earn reputation with
  • PVP Reputation lawman/bandit stuff [REMOVED]

I'm all for experience gain and a skill tree. Gives zombies another reason to be in the game and also something to work towards,

One of the talents is related to pickup speed.

I would like to know what everyone would want the skills to be. We are thinking of having a skill tree that you can't 100% fill, something like World of Warcraft talents. Don't know if it will be level based or XP based, or even a combination.

I would like to know what everyone would want the skills to be. We are thinking of having a skill tree that you can't 100% fill, something like World of Warcraft talents. Don't know if it will be level based or XP based, or even a combination.

As long as you are free to change skills any time at some cost ^^

Would you be able to reset and respec? maybe using GD (never played WoW)

As long as there are no skills that let u take more damage or let u deal more damage im all good with it

We left Aftermath for 2 weeks. I just launched it and checked the forum. All i can say about these changes: i'd better forget it like an awful nightmare...

Won't even precise anything here... Just 7 words: "Our old Aftermath will never come back"
